About the Creator
Hello, I’m Chris Deaton — founder of the Responsible Innovation Lab (RIL) and creator of Midlife College. After years leading programs and teaching at Arizona State University, my team and I took our work off campus so we could bring it directly to learners who need it most. I built Learning in the Age of AI to help midlife professionals rediscover confidence, curiosity, and adaptability in a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence. This course reflects the same principles behind the INNOVATE Framework, which I developed over 30 years in Product Management and 15 years in academia. I hold seven college degrees and more than 250 credit hours across anthropology, sociology, technology, and innovation. I know what makes learning stick — and I don’t waste your time. Everything here is practical, focused, and designed for immediate value. At the Responsible Innovation Lab, our mission is to bridge ethics, education, and emerging technology. We help people stay employable, grounded, and human — not by competing with AI, but by learning how to think alongside it.
